Cedric The Entertainer

Cedric The Entertainer first emerged on the scene as the host of It’s Showtime at the Apollo and since then has gone on to host several hit television shows like ComicView and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. He has acted in successful television shows such as: The Steve Harvey Show, Cedric the Entertainer Presents, and The Soul Man. He has appeared in the following feature films: Big Momma’s House, Kingdom Come, Barbershop, Ice Age, and Madagascar. 

Paul Mooney

Socially conscious comedian Paul Mooney’s career has spanned over 5 decades. He got his start writing jokes for legendary comedian Richard Pryor in the mid 1960s and eventually moved on to writing comedy for shows like Good Times, Sanford and Son, and In Living Color. He has also gained popularity from appearing on the Chappelle’s Show and for creating and starring in documentaries such as Paul Mooney: Jesus Is Black-So Was Cleopatra-Know Your History and Paul Mooney: Analyzing White America. 

Rickey Smiley

Successful comedian Rickey Smiley is so renowned for the prank phone calls he does on his nationally syndicated radio show, Rickey Smiley Morning Show, that he has six albums of his prank calls. He has had his own show The Rickey Smiley Show that came on TV One. He has appeared in feature films such as: Friday After Next, First Sunday, and Baggage Claim.

Donnell Rawlings 

Donnell Rawlings is a successful comedian, actor, and radio host. He rose to fame after appearing on the Chappelle’s Show. He has appeared in popular movies like: Spider Man 2, Something Like a Business, and Knights of the Heights.

Anthony Anderson 

Comedian Anthony Anderson has an extremely successful career. He has appeared in a number of television shows such as: All About the Andersons, Guys with Kids, and Black-ish and numerous feature films such as: The Departed, Transformers, and Me, Myself & Irene. 

Pierre Pierre

Pierre Pierre was one of the first comedians to appear on Russell Simmons’s Def Comedy Jam and has appeared on a number of other comedy shows. In addition to being a comedian, he is also a writer, director, and producer. He is best known for appearing in the following films: The Wash, 2001:A Space Travesty, The Breaks, How to Be a Player, and B*A*P*S. 

Jimmy Walker

Jimmy Walker rose to fame in the mid 1970s for his “Dy-no-mite” portrayal of J.J. Evans in Good Times. Since then he has appeared in: Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, Airplane!, and Guyver. 

Joe Clair

Joe Clair is a successful stand up comedian, radio host, and video jockey. He was catapulted to fame when he began hosting the hit BET Show Rap City from 1994-1999.  Clair has appeared on Def Comedy Jam, ComicView, and currently hosts his own radio show that comes on WPGC-FM during the mornings. 

Chris Tucker

Actor and stand-up comedian Chris Tucker earned notoriety at the mere age of 20 for being a frequent performer on Russell Simmons’s Def Comedy Jam. Since then he has appeared in feature films such as Friday, The Fifth Element, Money Talks, Silver Linings Playbook, Rush Hour and its two sequels.  

Joe Torry

Joe Torry is an actor and comedian that has been in the game since 1988. He has hosted Def Comedy Jam and starred in films such as Motives, Back in Business, Sprung, and Tales From the Hood. He has appeared in a number of television shows and appeared in commercials for massive brands such as Pepsi and Nike.

Bill Bellamy 

Actor and stand-up comedian Bill Bellamy got his start on Russell Simmons’s Def Comedy Jam. He has since gone on to host multiple MTV shows and appear in big feature films like: Any Given Sunday, Mr. Box Office, and The Brothers. 

Tommy Davidson

Comedian and actor Tommy Davidson’s career rose to new levels when he appeared on the hit show, In Living Color.  Since then he has appeared in films like Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls and Bamboozled and in successful television series such as The Proud Family, Malcolm & Eddie, Between Brothers, Martin, MADtv, and The Bernie Mac Show.

Comedian and actress Sommore has had an extremely successful career. She has appeared on television shows such as: Def Comedy Jam, Showtime at the Apollo, ComicView, The Hughleys, The Parkers and appeared in feature films like Soul Plane and Friday After Next. She also started in the hit film The Queens of Comedy.
