Alex Bugnon

Alex Bugnon emerged on the scene with the release of his chart-topping debut album Love Session in 1988. He has since released 6 more albums, many of which charted on the R&B charts and the Contemporary Jazz charts. He is best known for the following songs: “So In Love”, “Heart of New York”, “Any Love”, “Dance of The Ghost”, “Going Out”, and “Yearning For Your Lady”. 



Alfonzo Blackwell

Alfonzo Blackwell made a strong introduction to the world with the 1995 release of his debut album Let’s Imagine, which charted high on the Contemporary Jazz chart. He has since released 6 albums, which have all received favorable reviews, and a number of memorable singles. His most popular songs are: “Pulsar (15mins Later)”, “Impressions”, “Human Nature”, “Sax You Up”, “Take One”, and “Four Seasons”. 



Angela Bofill Experience

Angela Bofill released her critically acclaimed debut album Angie in 1978, which featured her hit singles “This Time I’ll Be Sweeter” and “Under the Moon and Over the Sky”. She has since released 9 albums with a number of them charting on the top half of the US R&B charts. Her signature songs are: “Break It to Me Gently”, “Too Tough”, “Tonight I Give In”, “I’m on Your Side”, and “I Just Wanna Stop”. 


Bob Baldwin

Bob Baldwin has an extremely successful career. He has won 5 SESAC Music awards and won the esteemed Sonny Innovator Award in 1989.  He has released a number of albums that have charted high on the Billboard Jazz chart. His best-known songs are: "The Way She Looked At Me", “Twenty”, “MelloWonder / Songs In the Key of Stevie", and “For Grover And George”. 



Bobbi Humphrey

Bobbi Humphrey is internationally renowned for the jazz music she creates. She has played for a number of big name musicians such as Due Ellington and Lee Morgan and has released a number of highly revered albums. Her best-known songs are: “Love When I’m In Your Arms”, “Home-Made Jam”, “Uno Esta”, “Fun House”, “Chicago, Damn”, and “Harlem River Drive”. 


Bobby Caldwell

Jazz singer-songwriter Bobby Caldwell has a career that has spanned nearly 5 decades. He released his self-titled debut album in 1978 that featured his hit single “What You Won’t Do For Love”, which has been sampled by well-known artists like Aaliyah and Tupac. He has gone on to release countless chart-topping albums and singles. His most notable songs are: “My Flame”, “Can’t Say Goodbye”, “Coming Down from Love”, “Jamaica”, “Real Thing”, and “I Give In”. 


Gerald Albright

Jazz saxophonist Gerald Albright began his career in the 1980s as a session musician for artists like Anita Baker and the Temptations. He then went on to tour with big name artists like Whitney Houston and Quincy Jones before embarking on his solo career, in which he released a number of albums that topped the Contemporary Jazz charts and were nominated for Grammys. His most popular songs are: “Because of You”, “Slam Dunk”, “Champagne Life”, “In the Moment”, and “So Amazing”. 


Jeff Lorber

Grammy nominated artist Jeff Lorber began his career as the front man of the group The Jeff Lorber Fusion, which released 5 albums. In 1982, he began his solo career with the release of his debut album It’s a Fact in 1982 and has since released a number of critically acclaimed albums featuring songs that have been heavily sampled by hip-hop and R&B artists. His best known songs are: “Get Up”, “The Steppe”, “Fab Gear”, “Hacienda”, “Big Brother”, “City”, “Sumatra”, “Pixel”, ”Facts Of Love (Remix)”, and “Step By Step”. 


Kevin Toney

Kevin Toney began his career as a member of the Grammy nominated group The Blackbyrds, which released numerous RIAA certified gold albums and released a slew of hit singles like “Rock Creek Park” and “Unfinished Business”. In 1982, he went solo and released his debut album Special K and has gone on to release a number of highly revered albums. His best-known songs as a soloist are “Kings” and “Aphrodisiac”. 


Lonnie Liston Smith

Jazz Legend Lonnie Liston Smith began his over 5 decade long career as a musician for big name artists like Miles Davis and Pharoah Sanders. He then went on to form his own band called Lonnie Liston Smith and the Cosmic Echoes, which released a number of classic albums, and has released some albums as a solo artist. His most popular songs are: “Space Princess”, “Journey Into Love”, “A Chance For Peace”, “Afrodesia”, “Expansions”, and “Expansions-Part I”. 


Marion Meadows

Marion Meadows is renowned for the contemporary jazz music he creates. He has collaborated with massive artists like Eartha Kitt, Phyllis Hyman, and The Temptations and has release an impressive 13 albums. His most notable songs are: “Humanity”, “Whisper”, “Flirt”, “Love Was Never (Like This)”, “Paradise”, “Sleepless Nights”, and “The Real Thing”. 



Maysa Leak 

Jazz singer-songwriter Maysa Leak has garnered fame for being a member of British band Incognito as well as for being a solo artist. The Soul Train Award winning artist has released a number of critically acclaimed albums and singles. Her most popular songs are: “Good Morning Sunrise”, “Am I Wrong (For Lovin’ You?)”, “Sexy”, and “What About Our Love”. 



Najee

Grammy nominated Najee emerged on the scene following the release of his debut album Najee’s Theme in 1986. He has since gone on to release multiple successful albums that have topped the contemporary Jazz Charts. His best known songs are: “Fly With The Wind”, “Champs Elysees”, “One Night In Soho”, “Perfect Nites”, “Love Forever And A Day After”, “Sweet Summer Nights”, and “I’ll Be Good To You”. 



Phil Perry 

Pieces of A Dream is a band renowned for the R&B and Jazz music they have created over their 4-decade long career. They have released numerous critically acclaimed albums and a number of memorable songs with their most notable ones being: “All In”, “Steeper’s “D” Lite”, “Sway On”, “What Can I Do”, “Say La La”, and “Fo-fi-fo”. 



Pieces of A Dream 

Malik Yoba began his career in 1993 and is best known for his starring roles in New York Undercover and Cool Runnings. He has also earned notoriety for appearing in season 1 of TV shows Empire and Alphas.  



Ronnie Laws

Ronnie Laws made a strong introduction to the world with the release of his debut album Pressure Sensitive that featured his classic song “Always There”. He has released numerous albums and his best-known songs are: “In The Groove”, “City Girl”, “Stay Awake”, “Every Generation”, “All The Time”, and “Morning In My Life”. 



Tom Browne

Tom Browne’s career was catapulted to new levels following the release of his number 1 single “Funkin’ for Jamaica (N.Y.)” off of his sophomore album Love Approach. He went on to release 9 albums and a number of hit singles with his most notable ones being: “Thigh High (Grip Your Hips and Move)”, “Fungi Mama (bebopafunkadiscolypso)", “Rockin’ Radio”, “Bye Gones”, “Secret Fantasy”, and “Crusin”. 



TS Monk 

TS Monk is renowned for the Jazz music he has been making since the 1980s. He has released three albums with his band titled the T.S. Monk Band and released 6 albums as a solo artist. His signature albums are: “More To Love”, “Too Much Too Soon”, “Bon Bon Vie (Gimme The Good Life)”, and “Candidate For Love”.
